Very Stone Age-esque for the rest of the Muslim nations.

You also have to see the performance history of Pakistan Air Force, they have quite a number of Indian planes and Choppers shot down in 65 in each of their cities.
On my last visit to Pakistan, I made some pictures in front of Indian downed choppers in Pakitan, would scan and post here.
Forget to mention, Malaysia also have female pilots and they are more deadly then Pakistani's.
Cheers.

lol yeah pakistan is probably alot more progressive than some other muslim countries in some ways atleast when it comes to women.
-elected a women president
-female general in the army-the only muslim country in the world to have one.
-no forcing of hijab or burqa like iran or saudi arabia.
-never hung women if they're raped like some other countries
-allows mixing of men and women generally
-amendement of islamic law to make them fairer to women
I have seen many hurtful and ignorant comments by some users towards pakistan it's so annoying when people pick on pakistan most of them have never been there in their lives i don't think it's right they attack a country they don't know what's really like.

the female pilots commissioned in PAF are serving in light communication squadron. they were unable to make it to fighter squadrons. infact after two batches, PAF discontinued induction of girls as pilot cadets in air academy.
think yourself that a boy inducted at an age of 11 or 12 years while studying in 6th or 7th grade and groomed specifically to be trained as a fighter pilot and someone inducted after 12th grade while not specifically trained for the fighter flying training, who will perform better.
it is what happens in PAF. they induct children at their colleges very early and then train, educate and groom them for officer training. they do induct civilians after 12th grade but most of the officer material from these officer nurseries.
and infact many among men are also unable to meet the stringent requirement of fighter flying in PAF. i know my own friends serving as fighter pilots telling me that in their batch about 30% or less were able to get their wings and even some of them had their wings clipped during fighter conversion. its because aircraft as an asset is very important for PAF because there are very very few sources and opportunities when PAF is able to procure something.
i think that the physical fitness required to sustain the effects of fighter flying is not a common trait and in case of women they become more vulnerable. they can equal a men mentally but physically its most of the time its a men's body which can sustain more stresses. i am not biased but its a common observation.

thunder, i think you have commented as "rubbish" the reply of another esteemed member on forum and have linked a video showing the girls boarding the T-37 aircrafts.
buddy, actually the video is just after their graduation. if you don't know or for those who are not aware of let me list the stages after which a PAF general duty pilot becomes a "fighter pilot".
1; MFI-17 Mushaq for basic flying training
2; T-37 or K-8 advenced/jet training
both these stages at air force academy. successful candidates earn wings. others are sent to ground branches except aeronautical engineering branch.
3;FT-5/6 for further advanced training in instrument flying, formation flying, navigation etc. there are some more topics included in curriculum.
its in Mianwali and takes around 6-8 months. here also some of the earlier commissioned officers who have got wings are grounded. rest of them proceed to F7, A-5 and Mirage squadrons for conversion on these aircrafts. selection is based on the performance on FT-5 and the best are sent to Mirage squadrons, then comes f-7 and later ones to A-5 and for transport and light communication aircrafts conversion. none of the officers are sent to F-16 squadrons at this stage.
4;here the officers spent around 6-8 months or a bit more and later on proceed to front line squadrons.
this training is based in Karachi, Peshawar and Shorkot depending on type of aircraft to which a pilot has been assigned for training.
5; after this stage the pilots proceed to fighter squadrons and hone their skills under the supervision of section leaders and squadron commanders.
until this stage the ranks are still flying officer and its after their induction in frontline squadrons and after spending some time in them that they get the rank of flight lieutenant.
6; from among these fighter squadrons pilots are picked for F-16 conversion and they proceed to Sargodha for F-16 conversion.
looking at this pattern of training, think yourself how much strict and stringent it is. the female officers do went to Mianwali but due to their performance they were sent to light communication squadrons.
best regards

and one more thing. formally speaking these stages are termed as;
1; basic flying training
2; advanced flying training
3; fighter conversion unit
4; operational conversion unit
5; frontline squadrons

its not bad to have women pilots or fighter pilots but if there are any then they should and must be at par with their male collegues in academic, combat, physical and mental skills.

I have heard this also, and I have a feeling that it could be related to higher relative fat % of the body and/or some muscle-related matter.. I remember seeing one documentary on US/Russian approach to G-forces and there was something about this..maybe.
In any case, if women fullfill the same requirements as men, then I do not see any reason why they shouldnt serve if they choose so. But there must not be women in uniform just for the sake of it, the requirments for duties must be the same for each gender as in war the bullet does not ask what´s between your legs. And it could also be a matter of life and death for others.
