But in pictures section, in naval forces? I can only see the same old pics of the flying boat...

No problem. In that site there are tons of new pictures of Helicopters (SHAHEAD) CObras, Boats, Plane, figthters, and so on. Enjoy them all.

My guess is that, these new twin engines flying boat design are at the moment for commercial use, but it may be turned into militray one as well.

USSR developed many variations in its day. They had several that were twice the size displayed.

I do not recall any being developed with weapons.

Those were armed.

You are very correct.. it's been awhile since I read about them.
They had several varients that were armed with cruise missiles or sunburns.
