The Balkans has always been a battleground throughout history. However, after the breakup of Communist Yugoslavia, one of Europe's darkest chapters in history unfolded. Fueled by centuries of ehtnic hatred, zealots from different groups took arms and began fighting other groups for control of the vacuum.
This mod aims to present this seemingly forgotten conflict (to a lot of the western world) in a realistic and grim manner. One may play as a Serb, Bosnian, Croat, Slovene, Albanian, or Macedonian and utilize the massive array of weapons and vehicles, either from the defunct Yugoslav People's Army or from foreign sources. Engage in brutal close quarters fighting as you storm the Holiday Inn in Sarajevo to eliminate the Serb White Eagle snipers on the roof or roll through the Croatian countryside in your M84A main battle tank. Most battles will be realistically recreated using references of pictures of the battlefield, and stories of people who actually experienced it. We will try to make the mod as realistic and intense as possible. Weapons and vehicles will be coded with realistic properties. Textures will be carefully made to make the game look as authentic as possible.
Strategy will be a very important part of the game, making some battles a match of wits as well as firepower. A single attack helicopter can dominate the battlefield and win the game singlehandedly if the enemy has no strategy nor cohesion. Knowing real-life military tactics will give players a big advantage in this game.
Later on, one may play as a UN peacekeeper trying to end the fighting in the country.
Finally, we will not outrightly display any of the atrocities committed in this war, nor do we endorse any actions of the subjects at any time or in any manner.
