Iran's Burnt City dazzels West

Iran's burnt city dates back to 5,200 years ago.
Iranian archeologists have dazzled scholars with articles on the Burnt City at the nineteenth conference on South Asian archeology.
Ravenna campus at the University of Bologna in Italy hosts the international conference.
Head of Burnt City archeologists, Seyyed Mansour Sajjadi, said, "An entire day of the conference was dedicated to Iran's Burnt City in which we delivered 10 related lectures."
Iranian archeologists addressed the conference giving lectures on the history, archeological activities, and findings of the famous City.
Speakers from the US, UK, Russia, and other countries participated in the seven day gathering which opened on July 6.
The Burnt City spans more than 300,000 hectares and dates back to 5,200 years ago. It is located near the city of Zabol, in the southeastern province of Sistan-Baluchestan and considered Iran's largest prehistoric site.
Four civilizations have lived in the city which was burnt down three times and not rebuilt after the last fire.
The world's oldest animated picture, dice and backgammon set, the earliest known caraway seed and artificial eyeball have been found at the site.
