Taj Mahal also has a Persian-style garden.

Restoration and revival of historical monuments in Qutb Shahi Tombs in India and the Persian garden in the capital of Hyderabad is to resume soon.

The site is located in Hyderabad, capital of Andhra Pradesh state in southern India. The project is due to start with the cooperation of Iran's Fund for Revival and Exploiting Historical Monuments (part of Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization) and India's Ministry of Tourism and Culture.

The Managing director of the Fund said agreements were reached when careful inspection of various historical sites in Hyderabad and discussions between experts and officials belonging to ICHHTO and the Indian Ministry of Tourism and Culture were made.

Ali Asqar Parhizkar said the agreements allowed Iran to be in full charge of the project for restoring and reviving the Persian Garden and restoration, exploitation and reconstruction of other monuments in the site of Qutb Shahi Tombs in the space of two years.

Parhizkar further said the first step in the process would be to manufacture ceramic tiles for the monument under the scrutiny of ICCHTO. Experts in tiles will also accompany the executive body.

Persian Gardens have geometrical structures and some common features. Sunlight and its effects were an important factor of the design and textures and shapes were specifically chosen by architects to harness the light. Trees and trellises largely feature as biotic shade.
