IRI RCS-Relief Consignment-Quake
As dispatching relief consignments of Iran to South Asian devastating victims continues, the IRI Red Crescent Society (RCS) sent its second relief consignment Monday night to northern parts of Pakistan, that are worst hit by Saturday quake.
Iranian RSC's second relief consignment, carried by an Iranian Army cargo plane, included tents, blankets, carpets, medicine and foodstuff, weighing 34 tons altogether.
Meanwhile, according to a communique issued by RSC Public Relations on the issue, the RSC relief and medical teams dispatched to Pakistan on Sunday night have been stationed in Katan District of Pakistan's Mansreh Province.
"They are taking advantage of their trained dogs to find survivors buried under debris, electronic mechanical devices for the same purpose, and hydraulic lifts and scissors, all aimed at immediate search for the buried victims and saving them before it gets too late," according to the Iranian RCS communique.
The Iranian Red Crescent has so far forwarded two relief consignments weighing sixty tons worth 147,500,000 rials (around U.S.
$15 million) to Pakistan for the purpose.
