When Will Iran Have 1,000 Shahab-3 Missiles?

Salam, my Iranian friends.:) We all know that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard now has between 100-150 Shahab-3 missiles. But does anyone of you here know when will Iran have 1,000 Shahab-3 missiles? If Iran have 1,000 Shahab-3 missiles, even equipped with High Explosive warheads, would constitute an awesome deterrent force that will make Iran's enemies think 100 times before attacking Iran.

So, when do you guys predict that Iran will have 1,000 Shahab-3s? By 2010, 2012 or 2015? And if IRGC has 1,000 Shahab-3s, does that mean the number of IRGC members need to be increased to man the launchers, like doubling IRGC numbers from 150,000 to 300,000? How many men handle a single Shahab-3 launcher? And does anyone here know the cost of one unit of Shahab-3?

1,000? WHY? they don't exactly last for ever! maximum 300-400 is needed, any more is only stupid. Each shahab costs quite alot of $$$! I as an Iranian would be very angry if the regime thinks its fine to invest money on thousands of missiles, while the economy isn't managed well at all and unemployment and poverty in the rural areas are so high.


Iran is very stupid in certain areas, they shouldn't publicise the fact that they have increased production or disclose the fact that a missile such as shahab3 or ghadr even existed. Let's be honest, if i was a jew living in Israel i would be scared watching the iranian missile launch saying death to Israel and America! Whereas Israel is developing missiles with further range which can cause far more devastation and terror with European and America and Indian assistance but not disclosing the information or give details.


Right now Iran needs to look as friendly as possible, China looks like they can't hurt a fly, but in reality they have a very aggressive military production industry and aggressive military doctrine, iran hasn't played the game all that smart.

Iran should have new Shahab-3 missiles with a solid fuel rocket, these launch quicker and are easier to deploy than liquid-fuelled missiles.

Yes, Ghadr 101 & Ghadr 110. I do not know when the Shafaq will be used by the Air Force, that usually does take time. However I am quite sure we will see it flying in public this year, inshallah.
