Iranian musician to perform in Iraq

The prominent Iranian musician Keivan Saket playing Tar
Keivan Saket, the prominent Iranian musician and leader of the Vaziri music group, will have a concert in the Iraqi city of Sulaymaniyah, this August.
Saket, will play the Tar -the most popular plucked instrument in Iran which in Persian means string- accompanied by other instruments like piano and Tombak -the chief percussion instrument of Persian classical music.
The concert will include works from Saket as well as some popular Kurdish melodies.
Keivan Saket had also planned for a concert in the Iraqi city of Arbil, in spring, CHN reported.
The city of Sulaymaniyah is the capital city of the northeastern province of Sulaymaniyah in the autonomous Iraqi Kurdistan. The city is considered the cultural hub of Surani, a dialect of Kurdish language.
