Hey Azeri,
Those Caucasian folks are very popular in Turkey too especially in Black Sea region.I participated in dances when I was much younger :)
Professional ones can do crazy moves, it's really fun to watch.

Cool lol.
But its litte different to other Caucasus dances. Its an Caucasus dance too but its an Azeri Caucasian dance so its litte different.
Exampell Georgian Caucasus dances are litte different or Azeri Caucasus dances are different to North-Caucasus.
Maybe its look like same but its litte different but in fact all of them are Caucasus dances.
Zakali
09-03-2007, 06:05 AM
Black Sea region? Probaly Georgian decent? Yeah Georgian dances are allmost same as Azeri dances cause both are in South-Caucasus or Central-Caucasus group.
Azeri and Georgian dance (South or Central Caucasus) dances are litte differen to North-Caucasus dances. Not too much just litte.

Zakali

Video u posted was North-Caucasian probaly Cherkez or Adige dance.
Watch this video its Azeri dance u can see it its litte different. We call it Different beetween South-Caucasus (Azeri and Georgian) And North-Caucasus (Chechen, Abkhaz, Cherkez etc...)
But this one u will see are Azeri and litte different to North-Caucasus. But its allmost same as Georgian cause Georgian and Azeri both are South-Caucasian.

Yes but all thes stuff u call are litte different. This one i posted was Azeri (South-Caucasian) These one u posted was North-Caucasian (Chechen or Cherkez).
Maybe its look like same all but there are small details.
Anyway lol.
I think Caucasian dance are most difficult (National) dance on Earth.
But its not difficult to any from Caucasus cause its in blood. U can't learn it its in blood. lol.
dogukan
09-03-2007, 06:58 AM
This means there are a lot of Caucasian blood in Turkey :)
I used to play this stuff too but later I began handball.
The differences are not important for us.There are both kind of Caucasians in Turkey :)
Zakali
09-03-2007, 07:00 AM
There are millions of people from North and South Caucasus in Turkey so there are many Caucasians in Turkey. But other peopls in Turkey are not Caucasian of course lol.
But u are half South-Caucasian cause u have Laz Ancestors.
Anyway we are Off Topic lol.

In any case, you get pretty good idea about our folk music elements from these songs and some of them are actually original folk songs.
