I believe it is only the Rockets. Unfortunately, Iranian Navy is more neglected than Air Force if we can call them so.:(

for how much I would like to be optimistic, but I do not see actual fact. There are bunch of the false number in the web which is not more than propaganda. IRIAF itself agree that its most fleet are not operation and those which are not in condition to sustain prolonged combat formation. If you are talking about F-14 those are the one that suffered he most. there are not left any Phinex missile and without that considering all are operational they will become useless. The MIG-29 if you ask the IRIAF personal they wanna get ride of them like F-7 because they do not have any capability combat , but they take the number. You can say that only good are SU-24 and Mirage F-1. The project that iran talking about is more prototype than become the reality or at least take many years if anything remains until then.:(

Iran relativly has much stronger ground forces than others, because it was easier to buy grounds equipments and less time to train operators to use them. In Missile technology they have good and bad, the good is number and the bad is too muh time for launching. In electronics warfare Iran has very good progress, because making it is more easier and you have access to extended international supplier while buying a turbojet engine for a fighther is not a easy task and you can not trust russian. In vaiation we can gerenarly say that they overhauled and up-dated few fighters by canablization of those that they think they can not be recoverd anymore. Iranian Air force has need around at least 600 new multi-rule fighters until it can be back to its old glory and protect air space. In time of monarchy we had 450 operation and another 300 F-16 and 150 F-15 and 4 AWACS contracted were signed and sealed which make around 900 in number and they intened to buy a very large number, I do not remeber the exact number, of Mirage to be based in Kish Island in persian gulf, but we know what happend. There were in progress to buy new fragates and TP, but all were cancelled by changing regime. Unfortuantly, this will cost Iran huge amount of damage and lost of life if a war will break out, but Iranian regime is afraid of its own shadow even Pasdarn which themselves has created. I heard that even most of them they do not want to participate in crushing dissessants in Iran and shoot on their own people, but...

Iran had in its inventory around 450 fighters including F-5, F-4 ( I believe around 180 each) and 80 F-14 which the number 80 had never delivered. before the revultion Iran has signed for 300 F-16 and 150 F-15, 4 AWACS ( which gone to Saudis, F-16 to Israel and I do not know about the faith of F-15) in addition the previous regime wanted to ad another 80 of F-14 to remain as a reserve in the event of major conflict. :(

Iran in the previous regime did received 3 of F-16 that had ordered. I believe that they have been sold by Islamic regime to Pakistan at least two of them. the third one probably grounded and kept to do some study on it like reveres engineering.

the other batch of 80 F-14 canceled by Islamic regime, AWACS went to Saudis and F-16 to Israel, but I do not think that Iran get any of its money back. They should be with others Iran assets frozen in US. yeh if you think we could have almost mores than 900 the latest of fighter technology, but now really there is not much brag about it. Basically, the brought the IRIAF to its knee
