yeah seriously China has enough troubles with Taiwan and the Japs and 7th Fleet to even think about risking a war with India over some puny islands.

Most Chinese say taking Taiwan would be easy and they know they can do it in a day, it is fighting ones brother that is a problem.

An interesting question would be, how important is Taiwan for the government in Peking? I mean, it is clear, that an attack on Taiwan would lead automatically to an confrontation with the US. Obviously China is getting the position of the former USSR as the new world police and in the same time it will be the against pole of the USA. But I don´t think, that the People Republik is going to have the same agressive foreign policy like the former USSR. The new cold war is going to be an economic one.

He is probably just pissed because China defeated them in the 7th Century and controlled all of XinJiang or Turkish Uighur terroritory larger then the size of Iran.

1. China can overtake Taiwan before USA gets there considering the fact that USA will go to war with China over a puny little island 99% of US doesn't even care about.

2. Say USA goes to war with Taiwan which is laughable, Americans will force USA to withdraw within days. a confrontation between these two countries will bring to the end of both USA and China. Is china going to go to hell and back to get Taiwan? yes. is USA going to risk buying more expensive shoes? no.
