Muslim tipoff 'led to arrests'

A British intelligence official has told CNN that the original information about a plot to down commercial jetliners in mid-Atlantic with explosives came from a tip from the Muslim community in Britain.

I keep scratching my head about the timing of this announcement. They have known about this plot for several months. But why announce now?

- There is no proof that the so called "dry run" was to take place now.
- The muslim leaders in UK claim this plot is baseless and protest that these paki kids are assumed guilty until proven innocent!

So, here is my conspiracy theory! It is widely speculated that Neocons and their partners were planning some sort of "terror" gig in prep for the Nov. US elections! So, it seems logical that:

a) This indeed is the Nov. Neocon terror gig, however, its timing got pulled in due to the current mid east crisis.
b) The world sentiment against Israel was getting out of control and this was indeed a clever plot to divert attention:
o Awaken Anti-Muslim and terror fears
o Justify the planned Israel ground force aggression against the terrorist and world dominating muslims!
