In another thread, about the world's most powerful armies, Tbagger (I believe it was) said that the Netherlands army could not send an entire brigade overseas and that it was therefore weaker as similar armies such as those of Canada and Australia. Well, he was wrong, this is what we currently have, around the world:
Location - Mission - Number of troops
Afghanistan - ISAF / Enduring Freedom - 2288
Africa - EUPOL / EUFOR/ UNMOC / EUSEC / IMAT / AMIS / UNMIS - 72
Balkan - EUFOR / EUPM / EUMEM / NHQ / KFOR / EUCE / Deliberate Forge - 263
Persian Gulf - NLO CTF 150 / CIFC / NTLC - 5
Iraq - NTM-I - 15
Middle East - UNTSO / EU BAM / Operation Galaxy - 23
All together more then 2600 troops, most of them from the land forces. Not bad for a small military with limited recources. And this is not counting troops stationed at the Netherlands Antilles and on exercizes in other countries.
