Iranian scientists have received the special award of the 59th international trade fair 'Ideen - Erfindungen - Neuheiten' in Germany.
The blood bank of Qazvin from Iran, won 2 special awards and the silver medal of the IENA exhibition for manufacturing a device which produces, stores and separates blood from its products.
The device provides blood banks where technicians can perform cross matches, barcodes and other such procedures in room temperature while the plasma is stored in -40 centigrade.
Using the device, there is no need for to work in would reduce the cold injury. In addition,
Technicians no longer need to work in spring houses, which reduces cold injuries. The device also prevents any decrease in plasma temperature which causes denaturation of instable coagulation factors and fibrinogen.
Some 800 inventions and innovative products from 34 countries competed in the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre, which is the world's leading trade show for marketing inventions and product innovations.
