Iranian archeologists find the ruins of an Achaemenid village in the second phase of excavations at the Dowlatabad site near Persepolis.

The thin walls and partitions found at the site located near Persepolis (Takht-e Jamshid) have prompted archeologists to conclude a village covering an area of about 10 hectares once existed in the area.

Small pieces of stone dishes and ceramics discovered at the site support the theory that the village was governed on a labor economy basis rather than farming or aristocratic ones.

Archeologists claim the number of skeletal remains dating back to the post- Achaemenid Sassanid or Islamic eras, found at the site suggest the village was probably used as burial grounds after the Achaemenid era.

Very inaccurately information!
Time line between Achaemenid and Sassanids is 500-1000 years!
