I'm starting to doubt the validity of Iran's weapon program. They seem to be getting a new weapon every week, they claim that it is just as good as the West's weapons. they claim to have new missle here, new plane there, new ships, new torpedoes all in about a month.

It is just another side but I could argue that all these extra parts make the Iranian version the super dooper version.

I think that is a very valid point, it is like they are want to intimidate the US with these frequent weapons annoucements and as the article points out they are big on talk but short on details.

Nobody can doubt that Iran is little bit exagering its claims. After all didn't America exagerate its claims in the past?? They sold their M1 Abrams as invulnerable, nevertheless it can burn by a simple Rpg 7 many of them are destroyed, burn or disabled in Iraq. US sold us their helicopters as invulnerable, with hollywood propaganda help, last year discretly US Army ask to the congress a 1.5 Billion $, to replace 100 of its helicopters damaged or downed in Afghanistan -where it was supposed to be calm- and Iraq.
They sold us that their aircrafts are the best in the world, however it could beat or downed. The weakness is to believe to be beat, and to believe that the USA are the best. Iran 's weapons obviously are very far from western weapons. However the recent Hizbollah success prove the contrary, and the american drawbacks in Iraq and Afghanistan prove that, US army are like every army in the world very very vulnerable. If USA attack Iran one day, I think we can fairly expect many great surprises, and maybe the end of devil. Obviously Devil is American's empire.
Let's wait and see.

i agree with you when ever iran gets some thing they say fake before they even look and if USA gets it they say it's real and stuff and few weeks after it doesn't do nothing that USA says.

They are not perfect but they are next best thing. just like churchill said Democracy is the worse form of government, but much better than today's altenative. US does uses a lot of psychological propoganda to boost its equipement beyound their capability, but nevertheless they are the next best thing. Though I am proud of Iran making headways in different avenues of armements, it is still years behind a world superpower whose business is to make arms. Western technologies are obviously not perfect nor they are god send, but they are the next best thing. Only George W Bush is a godsend, doing his Command. :)

As far as your example of F-117 goes, it is flawed for the same reason I consider American people approach to the Palestinian celeberation of 9/11 as flawed. That is to say that your have to take all the F-117 missions that were carried out and have the "one" incident put in the numinator and divided. The answer gives a very succesfull rating for the F-117. As simple as that.
