That is bollocks. Most of the hot Turkish girls in the country go to work in Antlaya b/c that is what is required in the most prosporous service industry in the country. The foreign resident population isn't even 10,000 so most of them are Turks and good looking ones at that.

I think your uncle was exaggerating. While the tourism is mostly Euro dominated, there are still plenty of Turks who come to enjoy the Turquoise Coast. Also Antalya is home to many cultural festivals which Turks come in droves to attend. Not to mention the local population is rather sizable and seasonal workers swell the ranks. When I say working, I mean anything that services tourism.

Istanbul is beautiful no doubt, certain parts of it anyways. If you take the city as a whole there are too many gecekondus for it to be on par with Antalya which has been cleaned up for the tourist industry and has a higher GDP than most of the country. Ankara is one of the worst planned cities I have ever seen. If it isn't concrete crap buildings it is wasteland gecekondus.

Typical Russian mind, you look for free alcohol and food, sun,sand, sea, discos. Ok if those are the criteria then ok Antalya may be 1st. Come on, İstanbul has the history, depth, blend of several civilizations, diversity of lifes. It is very lively city. I feel very lucky that I live in Istanbul. I cross from Asia to Europe in the morning and Europe to Asia everyday. This is just symbolic but in reality you cross from old to new, from east to west, from modern to traditional several time in your daily life in Istanbul. There are more Turks that live in Antalya province than there are tourists at any one time. When the seasonals come in so do the girls that come to work. Turks still outnumber tourists. There are just as many hot Turkish girls walking the beaches as there are Europeans is the point.

Izmir is good too but i like Antalya better. and Istanbul is the second best city in my opinion. the reason i don't think its the best city in Turkey it's because of the population, too much people there, even more than Tehran
