Shah was the one who overthrew a democratic elected gov. in iran and came in power with the help of the CIA and under $100,000 lol. He was a VERY brutal dictator with his savak regime. He probably would have got stonned to death if he never ran away from iran. He died of heart problems made worse by the fact that he was kicked out and his kingdom dynesty was now gone never to come back again.

I am not exactly sure how old it was exactly but it was VERY VERY VERY old! His son still lives in America, his blood MAY continue but it's pointless, i can't see him going back in power again, kings and queens and other unelected officials are so "out of date now" and so "unpopular" so even American probably wouldn't try to put him back with another CIA hoax.

The M-113...

I had a look in Janes guide to combat vehicles recognition guide and The BTR-60 is in Iranian service but i presumed this may have been ones captured from Iraq during the war. However if his picture was taken during the revolution then they must have already been in Iranian service prior to the war withn Iraq. Did the Soviets support the Islamic Republic in the early days of the late 70s/early 80s???

No, Iraq was still their client state. However, they did sell us a few T-55s and BTR-60s in 1981 (they were still neutral in the war at the time).

No, the Pahlavi dinasty began in 1927, by his father, in fact his "dinasty" was very short, the only thing that is thousand years old is the title "shah". And Reza Shah was the very and pure image of imperialism. He came to power when UK and the allies invaded Iran during WWII, when they deposed his father and put him in power.
